COURT OF APPEALS
THIRTEENTH DISTRICT OF TEXAS
CORPUS CHRISTI – EDINBURG
IN THE MATTER OF THE MARRIAGE OF
JORGE BARAJAS AND SUSANA CANO
ON APPEAL FROM THE COUNTY COURT AT LAW NO. 7
OF HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Before Chief Justice Tijerina and Justices Cron and Fonseca
Memorandum Opinion by Justice Cron
We previously abated this appeal and referred the parties to mediation. The parties
have since filed a joint motion, signed by the parties and their counsel, asking the Court
to dispose of the appeal in accordance with their mediated settlement agreement. See
TEX. R. APP. P. 42.1(a)(2). The Court, in accordance with the parties’ agreement,
reinstates the appeal, grants the motion, sets aside the trial court’s judgment without
regard to the merits, remands the case to the trial court for rendition of judgment in
accordance with the agreement, and taxes appellate costs against the party incurring
same. See id. R. 42.1(a)(2)(B), (d). Finally, having disposed of the appeal at the parties’
request, no motions for rehearing or reconsideration will be entertained, and the clerk of
the court is directed to issue the mandate in this appeal contemporaneously with the
Court’s memorandum opinion and judgment. See id. R. 18.1(c).
