TEXAS COURT OF APPEALS, THIRD DISTRICT, AT AUSTIN
NO. 03-26-00922-CV
In re Gregory-Allen Lee
ORIGINAL PROCEEDING FROM COMAL COUNTY
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Relator has filed a petition for writ of mandamus, requesting that this Court
compel the Comal County District Clerk and her office to take certain actions, including
compelling the district clerk and her office to accept and endorse “electronically filed papers in
Envelope 120556215.” By statute, this Court has no authority to issue a writ of mandamus
against the district clerk and her office unless required to enforce our jurisdiction. See Tex.
Gov’t Code § 22.221. Because relator does not seek a writ of mandamus to enforce
our jurisdiction, we dismiss his petition for want of jurisdiction. See In re Davidson,
No. 03-20-000143-CV, 2020 WL 1146385, at *1 (Tex. App.—Austin Mar. 6, 2020, orig.
proceeding) (mem. op) (dismissing petition seeking relief against district clerk for want
of jurisdiction). 1
