Court of Appeals
Tenth Appellate District of Texas
10-26-00357-CV
In the Interest of R.H., a Child
On appeal from the
18th District Court of Johnson County, Texas
Judge David A. Barkley, presiding
Trial Court Cause No. DC-D202500467
JUSTICE HARRIS delivered the opinion of the Court.
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Appellant appealed from a judgment that terminated his parental rights
that was signed by the trial court on June 8, 2026. The notice of appeal was
filed with the trial court clerk on August 27, 2026. By letter from the Clerk of
this Court, Appellant was notified that the notice of appeal appeared to be
untimely and that the appeal would be dismissed unless a response showing
grounds for continuing the appeal was filed. Appellant has filed a response;
however, it does not show grounds for continuing the appeal.
The notice of appeal was not timely filed, and this Court does not have
jurisdiction over this appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 26.1(b). Accordingly, this
appeal is dismissed for want of jurisdiction. See id.
