MEMORANDUM OPINION
No. 04-26-00223-CV
IN THE INTEREST OF J.S.B.
From the 150th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2025-EM5-03006
Honorable Eric J. Rodriguez, Judge Presiding
PER CURIAM
Sitting: Adrian A. Spears II, Justice
H. Todd McCray, Justice
Velia J. Meza, Justice
Delivered and Filed: September 23, 2026
DISMISSED FOR WANT OF PROSECUTION
Appellant’s brief was due on July 15, 2026. Neither the brief nor a motion for extension of
time was filed. Therefore, on July 24, 2026, we ordered Appellant Rashad Bridges to file, on or
before August 10, 2026, his appellant’s brief and a written response reasonably explaining (1) his
failure to timely file the brief and (2) why appellee was not significantly injured by appellant’s
failure to timely file a brief. We notified appellant that if he failed to file a brief and the written
response by the date ordered, this appeal would be dismissed for want of prosecution. See TEX. R.
APP. P. 38.8(a), 42.3(b) (permitting appellate court to dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution
if appellant fails to timely file a brief), see also id. R. 42.3(c) (permitting appellate court to dismiss
an appeal because the appellant has failed to comply with a court order). Appellant failed to

respond to our order. Therefore, we dismiss this appeal for want of prosecution. See id. R. 42.3(b),
(c).
