IN THE INTEREST OF G.G., A CHILD
On Appeal from the 322nd District Court
Tarrant County, Texas
Trial Court No. 322-766025-25
Before Bassel, Womack, and Wallach, JJ.
Per Curiam Memorandum Opinion
MEMORANDUM OPINION AND JUDGMENT
Appellant filed a notice of appeal from the trial court’s July 1, 2026 judgment.
The trial court granted appellant’s motion for new trial on July 27, 2026, while it still
had plenary jurisdiction. See Tex. R. Civ. P. 329b(a), (e); In re J.L.E., No. 05-11-01509-
CV, 2012 WL 2343901, at *2 n.1 (Tex. App.—Dallas June 20, 2012, no pet.).
On July 29, 2026, we informed the parties that the trial court’s new-trial grant
rendered this appeal moot, depriving us of jurisdiction, and that the appeal would be
dismissed unless, on or before August 10, 2026, any party desiring to continue the
appeal filed a response showing grounds to continue it. No party filed a response.
Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for want of jurisdiction. See Tex. R. App. P.
42.3(a), 43.2(f). Appellant must pay all costs of this appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 43.4.
