Fourth Court of Appeals San Antonio, Texas MEMORANDUM OPINION No. 04-26-00333-CV Shawn S. JONES, Appellant v. Arthur J. JONES, Appellee From the County Court at Law No. 10, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2026-CV-00514 Honorable David J. Rodriguez, Judge Presiding PER CURIAM Sitting: Rebeca C. Martinez, Chief Justice H. Todd McCray, Justice Velia J. Meza, Justice Delivered and Filed: September 16, 2026 DISMISSED Appellant’s brief was originally due July 9, 2026. Neither the brief nor a motion for extension of time was filed by that deadline. After no brief was filed, we ordered appellant to file appellant’s brief by July 31, 2026, or face dismissal of the appeal. On July 20, 2026, appellant filed a motion for extension of time to file appellant’s brief. We granted an extension but cautioned that if appellant failed to file a brief by August 10, 2026, we would dismiss the appeal for want of 04-26-00333-CV prosecution. See TEX R. APP. P. 38.8(a); see also TEX R. APP. P. 42.3(c) (allowing involuntary dismissal if appellant fails to comply with court order). To date, appellant has not filed a brief. Accordingly, we DISMISS this matter for want of prosecution. PER CURIAM -2-
