Opinion issued October 27, 2026 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” NO. 01-26-00971-CV β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” GOD FIRST TRUCKING LLC, Appellant V. FLEXI-VAN LEASING, LLC, Appellee On Appeal from the County Civil Court at Law No. 2 Harris County, Texas Trial Court Case No. 1259146 MEMORANDUM OPINION Non-lawyer Rapheal Osita Ugwa filed a notice of appeal on behalf of God First Trucking LLC. A notice of appeal filed by a non-lawyer on behalf of a limited liability company is ineffective. See Walker v. Taub, No. 01-20-00580-CV, 2022 WL 2309133, at *4–5 (Tex. App.β€” Houston [1st Dist.] June 28, 2022, no pet.) (mem. op.). Without a timely filed notice of appeal, we lack jurisdiction over an appeal. Id. at *5. We sent the parties notice of our intent to dismiss for want of jurisdiction, affording God First Trucking LLC 14 days to file an amended notice of appeal signed by a Texas attorney. God First Trucking LLC did not do so or otherwise respond. Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal for want of jurisdiction. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(a), 43.2(f); Walker, 2022 WL 2309133, at *5. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Chief Justice Adams and Justices Caughey and Johnson. 2
