Opinion issued August 13, 2026 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas ———————————— NO. 01-26-00819-CV ——————————— IN RE MARCUS MUHAMMAD-TOURE, Relator Original Proceeding on Petition for Writ of Mandamus MEMORANDUM OPINION Relator Marcus Muhammad-Toure filed a petition for writ of mandamus challenging the county court’s August 10, 2026 “Order on the Appeal of Denial of Statement of Inability Affidavit” in the underlying eviction proceeding.1 In conjunction with the petition, Relator filed a motion requesting that our Court stay 1 The underlying case is Jessica Michelle Herrera v. Kovach presiding. the issuance or execution of any writ of possession pending consideration of the mandamus petition. We deny the petition.
