Original Proceeding 1

Delivered and Filed: October 7, 2026
PETITION FOR WRIT OF MANDAMUS DENIED
On September 8, 2026, relator Denise McVea filed a motion for leave to file a petition for
writ of mandamus and a petition for writ of mandamus. We grant relator’s motion for leave and
file her petition under new appellate cause number 04-26-00697-CR. After considering relator’s
petition and the mandamus record, we conclude relator is not entitled to the relief sought.
Accordingly, relator’s petition for writ of mandamus is denied. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.8(a).
