IN THE COURT OF APPEALS OF OHIO
ELEVENTH APPELLATE DISTRICT
LAKE COUNTY
EUGENE B. GLOSTER, CASE NO. 2026-L-0044
Plaintiff-Appellee,
Civil Appeal from the
- vs - Court of Common Pleas,
Juvenile Division
VALADA MURRAY,
Defendant-Appellant. Trial Court No. 2025 SE 01054
MEMORANDUM OPINION AND JUDGMENT ENTRY
Decided: October 26, 2026
Judgment: Appeal dismissed
Eugene B. Gloster, pro se, 5147 Phillip Road, Maple Heights, OH 44137 (Plaintiff-
Appellee).
Valada Murray, pro se, 30220 Mildred Street, Willowick, OH 44095 (Defendant-
Appellant.
ROBERT J. PATTON, J.
{¶1} Defendant-appellant, Valada Murray (“Murray”), appeals the judgment of
the Lake County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division, modifying the child support
obligation of plaintiff-appellee, Eugene B. Gloster (“Gloster”).
{¶2} App.R. 16(A) requires an appellant’s brief to contain the following items:
(1) A table of contents, with page references.
(2) A table of cases alphabetically arranged, statutes, and
other authorities cited, with references to the pages of the brief
where cited.
(3) A statement of the assignments of error presented for
review, with reference to the place in the record where each
error is reflected.
(4) A statement of the issues presented for review, with
references to the assignments of error to which each issue
relates.
(5) A statement of the case briefly describing the nature of the
case, the course of proceedings, and the disposition in the
court below.
(6) A statement of facts relevant to the assignments of error
presented for review, with appropriate references to the
record in accordance with division (D) of this rule.
(7) An argument containing the contentions of the appellant
with respect to each assignment of error presented for review
and the reasons in support of the contentions, with citations
to the authorities, statutes, and parts of the record on which
appellant relies. The argument may be preceded by a
summary.
(8) A conclusion briefly stating the precise relief sought.
{¶3} On May 14, 2026, Murray filed a document in this court captioned
“Defendant’s objections to magistrate’s decision and trial brief in support.” Construed
liberally as Murray’s appellate brief, aside from requesting relief, the document failed to
comply with any of the App.R. 16(A) requirements. Gloster did not file a response.
{¶4} On July 31, 2026, this court, sua sponte, ordered Murray’s non-compliant
brief stricken from the record. This court simultaneously granted Murray 20 additional
days to file a compliant brief, affording her a second opportunity to present her claims.
Murray has failed to file a corrected brief, request an extension of time, or take any other
action in this court.

Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed for lack of prosecution.
