Serial: 264809 IN THE SUPREME COURT OF MISSISSIPPI No. 89-R-99012-SCT FILED IN RE: RULES GOVERNING ADMISSION OCT 08 2026 TO THE MISSISSIPPI BAR OFFICE OF THE CLERK SUPREME COURT EN BANC ORDER COURT OF APPEALS Before the Court is the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions’ Petition to Set Commencement Date for Administration of the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam. On June 12, 2025, the Court announced its intention to adopt the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam (“NextGen UBE”). Order, Jn re: Rules Governing Admission to the Mississippi Bar, No. 89-R-990 12- SCT (Miss. June 12, 2025). In the instant petition, the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions asks the Court to authorize the Board to administer the NextGen UBE beginning with the July 2028 administration of the Mississippi Bar Exam. After due consideration, the Court finds the petition should be granted. IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions’ Petition to Set Commencement Date for Administration of the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam is granted. The Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions is hereby authorized to administer the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam beginning with the July 2028 administration of the Mississippi Bar Exam.
