* IN THE ATTORNEY GRIEVANCE * COMMISSION OF MARYLAND SUPREME COURT * OF MARYLAND v. * AG No. 7 PAUL GERARD WERSANT * September Term, 2026 * ORDER In July 2026, Bar Counsel filed its petition for disciplinary or remedial action alleging that Paul Wersant had been disbarred in Florida and the District of Columbia and asked for the Court to impose corresponding discipline. The Court required both parties to show cause if they contended that corresponding discipline should not be imposed. Bar Counsel responded timely. Mr. Wersant sought and obtained an extension of time to respond. His time to respond was extended until September 18. On September 19, Mr. Wersant moved for a further 30-day extension of time to respond to the Order to show cause. Bar Counsel opposed the extension. Upon consideration of the petition for disciplinary or remedial action, Bar Counsel’s response to the order to show cause, Mr. Wersant’s motion to extend the time to respond, and the opposition to that motion, it is this 28th day of September 2026, by the Supreme Court of Maryland, ORDERED that the motion for extension of time is denied; and it is further ORDERED that, pursuant to Maryland Rule 19-737(f), corresponding discipline is imposed on Respondent, Paul Gerard Wersant, and he is disbarred from the practice of law in the State of Maryland effective immediately; and it is further ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall give notice of this Order in accordance with Rule 19-761. /s/ Matthew J.
