Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia ATLANTA,____________________ July 17, 2026 The Court of Appeals hereby passes the following order: A26A2419. JOANNA BROWN v. GLENN ANDERSON. Following an automobile accident, Joanna Brown sued Glenn Anderson for damages, and the jury awarded Brown $7,000.00. Brown then filed this direct appeal, seeking to challenge a pre-trial order. We, however, lack jurisdiction. Appeals in actions for damages in which the judgment is $10,000 or less must be initiated by filing an application for discretionary review in this Court. OCGA § 5-6-35(a)(6), (b); Jennings v. Moss, 235 Ga. App. 357, 357 (509 SE2d 655) (1998). “Compliance with the discretionary appeals procedure is jurisdictional.” Hair Restoration Specialists v. State of Ga., 360 Ga. App. 901, 903 (862 SE2d 564) (2021) (citation and punctuation omitted). Consequently, Brown’s failure to comply with the requisite appellate procedure deprives us of jurisdiction over this appeal, which is hereby DISMISSED.
