Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia ATLANTA,____________________ October 07, 2026 The Court of Appeals hereby passes the following order: A27A0246. PIERRE JENKINS v. THE STATE. In 2010, Pierre Jenkins pleaded guilty to armed robbery and other crimes, and he was sentenced to 25 years, to serve 12 years. In 2026, he filed a pro se request for credit for time served, which the trial court dismissed. From that order, Jenkins filed this direct appeal. This Court, however, lacks jurisdiction. As explained by the Supreme Court of Georgia, “the amount of credit is to be computed by the convict’s pre-sentence custodian, and the duty to award the credit for time served prior to trial is upon the Department of Corrections. The trial court is therefore not involved in this matter.” Warbington v. State, 303 Ga. 649, 650 (814 SE2d 351) (2018) (quotation marks omitted). For this reason, a motion for credit for time served filed in a criminal case is a nullity, which presents nothing to appeal. See id. at 651. Accordingly, this appeal is hereby DISMISSED.
