FIRST DISTRICT COURT OF APPEAL
STATE OF FLORIDA
_____________________________
No. 1D21-0264
_____________________________
ERIC EASTER,
Petitioner,
v.
STATE OF FLORIDA,
Respondent.
_____________________________
Petition for Writ of Mandamus—Original Jurisdiction.
March 19, 2021
PER CURIAM.
Eric Easter petitions this court to order the trial court to rule
on his pending postconviction motion. However, as it turns out, the
trial court issued a 2014 order barring him from any future pro se
filings in the case. The petition for writ of mandamus is DENIED.
See Pettway v. State, 776 So. 2d 930, 931 (Fla. 2000) (refusing to
order lower court to consider habeas petition because the
petitioner had “abused the judicial processes of the lower courts”
to the extent he had “been barred from filing certain actions
there”).
ROBERTS, ROWE, and TANENBAUM, JJ., concur.
_____________________________
Not final until disposition of any timely and
authorized motion under Fla. R. App. P. 9.330 or
9.331.
