Case: 26-2090 Document: 3 Page: 1 Filed: 10/29/2026 NOTE: This order is nonprecedential. United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ______________________ LINDELL MOORE, Plaintiff-Appellant v. PAULA GRIFFEN, Director of CYS Lehigh County, EDWIN RODRIGUEZ, Caseworker Supervisor, CEASER MERCADO, Caseworker, STEPHANIE J. MORRISON, Resource Parent for CYS, Defendants-Appellees ______________________ 2026-2090 ______________________ Appeal from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in No. 5:26-cv-02344- JFM, Judge John F. Murphy. ______________________ PER CURIAM. ORDER Lindell Moore filed a complaint with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against various individuals associated with the Office of Children and Youth Services of Lehigh County, Pennsylva- nia, regarding the relinquishment of his parental rights. The district court dismissed the case, and Mr. Moore filed a notice of appeal that was transmitted to both this court Case: 26-2090 Document: 3 Page: 2 Filed: 10/29/2026 2 MOORE v. GRIFFEN (which is named in the notice) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. This court’s jurisdiction over appeals from district courts is generally limited to appeals arising under the pa- tent laws, see 28 U.S.C. § 1295(a)(1); civil actions on review to the district court from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, see id. § 1295(a)(4)(C); and cases involv- ing certain damages claims against the United States not exceeding $10,000 in amount, id. §§ 1295(a)(2), 1346(a)(2). Because Mr. Moore’s case does not fall within that limited jurisdiction and his notice of appeal from the same under- lying judgment was already transmitted to and docketed at the Third Circuit, we dismiss rather than transfer. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED THAT: (1) The appeal is dismissed. (2) Each side shall bear its own costs. FOR THE COURT October 29, 2026 Date
