On Petition for Writ of Mandamus to the United States
District Court for the District of Colorado in No. 1:26-cv-

ON PETITION AND MOTION
______________________
Before CHEN, LINN, and CUNNINGHAM, Circuit Judges.
PER CURIAM.
ORDER
Peter Amory, Jr. petitions this court for a writ of man-
damus to compel the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to cor-
rect his military records to reflect an honorable discharge
and to restore all associated benefits and backpay. He also
moves for various relief, including for leave to proceed in
forma pauperis, to expedite, to take judicial notice, and for
summary disposition.
A writ of mandamus is an extraordinary remedy, which
may issue only if petitioner has shown a clear and indis-
putable right to relief; such relief is appropriate; and there

are no other adequate means to attain the relief desiredโ
โa condition designed to ensure that the writ will not be
used as a substitute for the regular appeals process.โ Har-
grove v. Shinseki, 629 F.3d 1377, 1379 (Fed. Cir. 2011)
(quoting Cheney v. U.S. Dist. Ct. for D.C., 542 U.S. 367,
380โ81 (2004)). We cannot say that Mr. Amory has shown
mandamus would be appropriate or the only adequate,
available means to obtain the relief that he requests.
Accordingly,
IT IS ORDERED THAT:
(1) The petition for mandamus is denied.
(2) The motion to proceed in forma pauperis is
granted. All other pending motions are denied.
