NO. CAAP-XX-XXXXXXX
IN THE INTERMEDIATE COURT OF APPEALS
OF THE STATE OF HAWAIʻI
A.M., Plaintiff-Appellee, v.
J.M., Defendant-Appellant.
APPEAL FROM THE FAMILY COURT OF THE THIRD CIRCUIT
(CASE NO. 3DV221000037)
ORDER DENYING MOTION FOR RECONSIDERATION
(By: Leonard, Presiding Judge, Hiraoka and Gluck, JJ.)
Upon consideration of self-represented Defendant-
Appellant J.M.'s (J.M.) Motion for Reconsideration (Motion)
filed on October 5, 2026, and the record, it appears that:
(1) J.M. seeks reconsideration of this court's
Summary Disposition Order, filed on September 23, 2026;
(2) J.M. requests a "limited vacatur and remand of
the property-division determination so that the Family Court may
make findings adequately explaining and reconciling the Category
1 valuation methodology applied to the parties' respective
premarital real-property interests";
(3) Without any evidence in the record of an
encumbrance on A.M.'s pre-marital home, the purchase price of
the property was the equity value in the home. J.M.'s argument
NOT FOR PUBLICATION IN WEST'S HAWAIʻI REPORTS AND PACIFIC REPORTER
that the Family Court used different methodologies is without
merit; and
(4) J.M. presents no point of law or fact that this
court overlooked or misapprehended. See Hawaiʻi Rules of
Appellate Procedure Rule 40(b).
Therefore, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Motion is
denied.
DATED: Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, October 8, 2026.
