Court of Appeals
of the State of Georgia
ATLANTA,____________________
August 31, 2026
The Court of Appeals hereby passes the following order:
A27A0046. GEDDIE v. THE STATE.
Lewis Shukung Geddie filed a motion to transfer this case to the Supreme
Court. Geddie appeals the denial of his motion for new trial and his voluntary
manslaughter, aggravated assault and armed robbery convictions. As the jury found
Geddie guilty of felony murder, we agree that the case should be transferred.1 The
Supreme Court of Georgia “has long exercised jurisdiction over all cases in which the
appellant has been found guilty of murder.” Hart v. State, 322 Ga. 1, 5(1) (917 SE2d
631) (2025).
Accordingly, Geddie’s motion to transfer his appeal to the Supreme Court is
GRANTED and this appeal is TRANSFERRED to the Supreme Court for disposition.
