Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia ATLANTA,____________________ August 19, 2026 The Court of Appeals hereby passes the following order: A26A2295. JESSE SEALS v. THE STATE. Jesse Seals was indicted on charges of family violence aggravated assault and family violence battery. At trial, the State introduced into evidence multiple photographs as exhibits, including photographs of the victim’s alleged injuries. See State Exhibits 1-31. The jury found Seals guilty of the charged offenses, and the trial court thereafter denied his motion for new trial. This appeal followed. Although copies of the aforementioned photographic exhibits were transmitted to this Court as part of the appellate record, they are illegible. Because of the illegibility of the exhibits, we hereby REMAND the case for correction of the record without delay. See OCGA § 5-6-48(d) (providing in part that this Court, at any stage of the proceedings, shall “require the trial court to make corrections in the record ... or take any other action to perfect the appeal and record so that the appellate court can and will pass upon the appeal and not dismiss it”). Once the record has been corrected with legible copies of the photographic exhibits consistent with what were introduced by the State at trial and the trial court has entered an order stating that the record has been so corrected, the clerk of the court shall transmit the entire record to this Court for redocketing pursuant to the notice of appeal filed in this case. See Nat’l Union Fire Ins. Co. of Pittsburgh v. Scapa Dryer Fabrics, 348 Ga. App. 149, 151 n. 4 (819 SE2d 920) (2018) (noting prior remand for inclusion of a legible copy of certain documentary evidence); Galardi v. Steele-Inman, 259 Ga. App. 249, 249 (576 SE2d 555) (2002) (remanding for completion of the record).
