ATLANTA,____________________
October 28, 2026
The Court of Appeals hereby passes the following order:
A27A0624. SHAWN LOCKHART v. ROBERT TOOLE.
Shawn Lockhart filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus challenging his 2009
guilty plea convictions and sentences for armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping,
and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The trial
court denied Lockhart’s petition, and he filed a notice of appeal to this Court. We,
however, lack jurisdiction.
Under our Constitution, the Supreme Court of Georgia has exclusive appellate
jurisdiction over all cases involving habeas corpus. See Ga. Const. 1983, Art. VI, Sec.
VI, Par. III(4). Accordingly, we hereby TRANSFER this case to the Supreme Court
for disposition.
