Opinion issued September 29, 2026 In The Court of Appeals For The First District of Texas ———————————— NO. 01-26-00853-CV ——————————— ANTONIO AGUIRRE, Appellant V. VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE, INC. D/B/A PIMA MEDICAL INSTITUTE, Appellee On Appeal from the County Civil Court at Law No. 3 Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 1275667 MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellant Antonio Aguirre filed a notice of appeal from the trial court’s May 18, 2026 Order Granting Turnover and Appointing Receiver. On August 27, 2026, the Court abated this appeal and referred the parties to mediation. On August 28, 2026, appellant filed a Motion to Dismiss Appeal stating that “[o]n August 25, 2026, the county court signed an order terminating the receivership” and thus, “this appeal is now largely moot.” Appellant requested that the Court “dismiss this appeal.” See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.1(a)(1). No other party has filed a notice of appeal, and no opinion has issued. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.1(c). Further, no party has objected to appellant’s motion to dismiss. Accordingly, the Court reinstates the appeal on the Court’s active docket, grants the motion, and dismisses the appeal. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.1(a)(1), 43.2(f). We dismiss any other pending motions as moot. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Chief Justice Adams and Justices Guiney and Johnson. 2
